Neuropsychological Assessment

Neuropsychological assessment is a resource for parents wanting to learn more about how to support their child's growth.  Over the course of a child's development, questions may arise about the best ways to support their learning, attention, behavior, and emotional well-being.  I work collaboratively with parents to create an assessment plan responsive to the questions arising from each child's unique situation and to guide parents in supporting their child's development.

Approach and Philosophy

Children Playing Outdoor

It is a privilege to participate in your family's journey and to be part of your child's care.  I provide in-depth neuropsychology evaluations of children, adolescents, and young adults, with developmental, academic, and emotional struggles.  â€‹I perform all aspects of the assessment personally with attention to nuanced feedback that captures the uniqueness of each child.

My child- and family-centered approach results in a roadmap to help guide families in making decisions about their children’s education, needed interventions, and parenting strategies.  The ultimate goal of an assessment is to help a child feel more comfortable and confident navigating each day. It is meant to help parents better understand their child's abilities and challenges and how to support them.  It empowers each child to know themselves better and develop tools to meet their fullest potential.

The best outcomes arise from looking at the whole picture, including a child's challenges, strengths, personality, family, and school environment. I take time to listen and collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create a plan that is practical and supportive of the individual child. This holistic approach combines evidence-based recommendations with real-world strategies that address learning, emotional health, daily functioning, and long-term goals.

Care does not end after the evaluation, and I often work with families for months and years, providing ongoing consultation and care as students’ developmental needs change over time.
